Did you know your child can come to both Morning AND Afternoon Camp?
Your child can experience our traditional art camp from 10am-2pm, take an hour break at our studio, and then join us for our afternoon drawing camp from 3pm-6pm! Scroll Down for more details on the full day schedule!
What a fun way to spend the school break with exciting art projects and an awesome group of kids! Campers will engage in creative seasonal projects with different experiences each day. Campers will be exposed to different mediums of art including Painting Pottery (Monday), Modge Podge (Tuesday), Pressed Wood (Wednesday) , Painting Canvas (Thursday), and Board Art (Friday)
*We go to the splash pad during summer break, so be sure to pack sunscreen, a towel, change of clothes, and a bathing suit*
Commonly known as “Late Afternoon Pickup”, this time period, included in the Full Day Camp option, children will be allowed to play board games, go to the play ground, color and/or watch a PG movie on Netflix. *Please provide your child with a packed snack, and plenty of water. If you would like your child to read or do another activity, please provide this information at check-in.*
Afternoon Drawing Camp
Mondays: Campers will be able to use pencils and pens to learn the Point Perspective Drawing technique.
Tuesdays: Campers will use charcoal to learn lighting and shading techniques.
Wednesdays: Campers will convert black and white images to colored images using oil pastels.
Thursdays: Campers will learn lettering and drawing techniques with sharpies.
Fridays: Campers will draw images with watercolor pencils and use water to blend out the color.
WE will be hosting full day camp on the following days:
Summer break: June-13-August 30, 2019 (No afternoon camp on July 4th, 2019)
DETAILS: This camp is structured and each camp project will be taught step by step in order for the children to learn new techniques. Children will have some creative control in choosing colors and adding on to their camp projects. Camp project outcomes vary depending on the the child’s abilities. Camp is about the experience, not the final outcome. Each camp will have one counselor responsible for 8-10 children each. Camp max is 20. A Colorful Universe will provide all supplies needed for camp.
ATTENTION PARENTS: Please sign children up 24 hours in advance online or in the store. Drop-ins are not guaranteed a spot or camp project materials. All campers must be potty trained and wear closed toed shoes. Aprons are always provided for campers, please note that some of our paints are acrylic and do not come out of clothes. A Colorful Universe is not responsible for replacing any items of clothing. Please provide your child with a packed lunch, snacks, and plenty of water. By purchasing camp for any amount of time, you are agreeing to our terms and conditions *Parent’s will be asked for identification at pick up. Name must be on the list. EARLY MORNING DROP OFFS are available for $5 per child/per hour. Starting at 8:00 a.m. Children will be allowed to color and watch a PG movie on Netflix. If you would like your child to read or do another activity, please provide this information at check-in.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Please notify A Colorful Universe 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend, and a store credit will be given. No-shows are non-refundable and will not be given store credit.
